Recently I went shopping in my makeup collection and rediscovered a bunch of face products, some for the good and some for the bad. I guess you can say I had a mini "Throwing Out My Old Makeup" session, although I realized I NEEDED some new blushes; ones that would show up on a deep skin tone like mine. I went makeup shopping and here's what I discovered. Here are two great quality blushes I've been raving over and wanted to brag about, they're so great.
1. Korres Zea Mays Blush
Their Claim:
A velvety powder
blush that provides natural yet luminous color.
Key Ingredients:
Korres Blush is formulated
with the Korres proprietary botanical blend of phytosterols, soy, and licorice
that delivers a smooth, glowing finish.
I have always adored Korres because (1) It is a Greece-based company, which is also a country I desire to visit, and (2) They use natural and organic ingredients to create natural beauty products to bring out the best in you. Out of the few Korres face products I own, I have never had a bad skin reaction.
My Review:
This blush is fairly pigmented, and like the claim says, does glide on velvety-smooth. No one likes a grainy, rough blush. I've had one too many of those! It's fairly pigmented and a swipe or two of color will do (enough color to do the job; not crazy pigmented). This is almost expected as the central focus of the product is to look as natural as possible. Personally, the pigmentation can make my already bright skin look more red, but that may just be because I am a bit heavy-handed. The reddish-brick tinge makes it the perfect facial accessory for the fall time. This blush has an average lasting power of about four hours, considering I have combination skin. It doesn't have much of a smell either.
Value:
This product retails for $24.00 and can be purchased at Sephora, or on the Korres official website of course! I snagged mine for a mere $7.99 at TJMaxx by the register - a VERY impulse buy, although I am glad I did get such a bargain. It's an all-around great product.
My Rating: 7/10
